Guests have exclusive use of the farmhouse
dining room and lounge. Open fires, comfortable furnishings
and a well tendered garden all add to the experience which
makes Thistleyhaugh such a popular choice. Dinner is served
in our dining room where all of our guests sit together. From
several years of experience, this usually sparks a lot of
laughter and lively conversation.
As well as a hearty Northumbrian breakfast,
a four course evening meal with wine is available as an optional
extra. The meal is served at 7.00pm. We cook traditional roast dinners, soups and puddings
and wherever possible, our produce is locally sourced and seasonal, and always
home-made.
As an alternative to our evening meal we now offer a light supper. This will be 2 courses plus coffee and will be the starter and sweet from that evenings menu. Guests who have chosen the light supper will join those having an evening meal at the table at a slightly later time of 7.20p.m
We are a licensed premises and stock
a selection of popular wines from £3.50 per glass or £10.00
per bottle. The wines we have available are on display in
the dining room along with the evening menu.
As a licensed premises we do not encourage guests to bring their own wine to the table.
There are a small selection of after dinner drinks available in the garden room priced at £3.00 per measure
